The first time I ever tried this sandwich was at my sister in laws bridal shower. Since then I have been making it all the time for my crew. Its a really easy and bit fancier that the original ham & cheese sandwich. I have gotten to the point now that I have to actually make 2 of them to feed my crew because just one French bread loaf doesn't cut it anymore.
Its a yummy one & perfect to take to football practice wrapped up for a picnic in the grass. Its been my 'go to' these last few weeks and no one is complaining ;)
RECIPE:
Ingredients: For the spread: 1 cup of mayo 1 tablespoon of Pesto For the rest of sandwich: 1 French bread loaf {bought from your local grocery store} 1 Rotisserie Chicken 1 package of sliced Provolone cheese 1 or 2 Roma Tomatoes {depends on how thick you cut them} Arugula Lettuce Instructions: 1. mix the spread {adjust to taste} 2. peel the chicken from the rotisserie chicken and set aside. 3. spread on both sides of your French bread loaf. 4. place chicken on bottom half of loaf. 5. top chicken with provolone cheese. 6. top provolone cheese with tomato and arugula. 7. add the top bread and wrap in tin foil. 8.
