Let's face it, I live with all BOYS! So when football season start up, we are watching games basically every single night. Change the "we" to they are watching games every night practically. I on the other hand usually watch bits and pieces. I make sure they are fed usually and thats what makes my soul smile.
So having quick yummy "go to's" for this time of year is a MUST! Also is a good idea to have something they can just put together, kind of like a "hot dog bar" so to speak. I prep and they put it all in a bun. Easy enough i'd say. So try this out at your next football gathering or if your just stuck on dinner ideas. Its a fun one and full of flavor! ![]()
RECIPE:
Ingredients: hot dog buns {regular or poppyseed} all beef hot dogs dill pickles sweet relish celery salt white onion tomato mustard ***Add sport peppers for some extra heat Instructions: 1. I usually boil the hot dogs and then my husband takes them out to the grill to put some quick color on them. Cuts his time down for being out at the grill & we have found that they taste pretty tasty this way. 2. While he is out grilling cut up the onion, tomato, and slice the dill pickles down the middle to make them thinner. 3. Put your buns on a cookie sheet and put in the oven on broil for just a few seconds to get them warm. 4. Hot dog in the bun and throw your toppings on, take a bite & enjoy! ***You can pair these with chips, onion rings, or fries. ArchivesSeptember 2018 ![]()
